Life at the Turn is back from another day of golf heaven at the PGA Show in Orlando, Florida! Day 3, the second day of exhibitors in the convention center, was an opportunity to take in everything we hadn’t seen the day prior and revisit our favorites. There is a lot to take in at the PGA Show, and we’ve been posting countless photos and updates at the Life at the Turn community site and a daily video recap each evening from the Bogey Ball Society podcast. Keep reading for the highlights, but get to the community site and podcast for much much more on everything the PGA Show has had to offer.
The Shiniest of Shiny Things at the PGA Show
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but to our minds a few iron lineups in particular are standing out and Cobra is chief among them. It’s clear Cobra has gone all in on their use of 3D printing, with three separate irons lineups touting the technology in the 3DP Tour, 3DP MB, and 3DP X models.

Cobra isn’t stopping with irons either, as their 3DP line of putters have expanded with some flatsticks that will win a lot of beauty contests as well as hole a lot of putts. The technology works too; hitting them on demo day at the beginning of the week elicited plenty of oohs and ahs from testers.
Then there’s Titleist. Unafraid to march to the beat of their own drum (read: product cycle), Titleist’s lone new club release for the PGA Show is the SM11 iteration of Vokey Wedges. Sort of. Titleist also rolled out a fresh take on an old favorite with a new “Oil Can” finish available throughout their iron lineup. Love it or hate it, the finish certainly stands out in the sea of chrome and satin of other irons.

Hidden Gems
Among the vast ocean of exhibits at the PGA Show are some smaller gems that might not get the notoriety of the big club manufacturers but generate plenty of buzz nonetheless. We’re putting Marucci squarely in that category. Never heard of ’em? Marucci is a dominant name in baseball, including batting gloves. That’s right, they’re bringing a golf glove to market, along with a Lizard Skin golf grip derived from their success with baseball bat grips by the same name. Marucci is boasting extensive research to develop this grip and glove solution that they claim yield noteworthy improvements in dispersion, carry, and ball speed. Noteworthy, as in a 49% reduction in dispersion. Needless to say, Marucci’s arrival in the golf market could be quite impactful.

Things That Make You Go Hmmm
Ever wish you could carry a foldable rake in your back pocket on your next trip into a bunker, then just unfurl the rake, strap it on to your wedge, and do your bunker-tending business? Me neither, but RakeWedge is betting enough of us have.

Perhaps you’ve taken a sip from your water bottle during your round and thought “I wish I could mark my score while I hydrate.” Again, me neither, but now there’s a solution to that. Meet the Tally Tumbler.

New products abound at the PGA Show. Some will hit, and some won’t, but there’s certainly no shortage of innovative spirit.
The PGA Show wraps up tomorrow with an abbreviated Day 4, and Life at the Turn will be there yet again looking for more new products, more hidden gems, and more standouts. Again, all the pictures and updates will be posted to the Life at the Turn community site, so be sure to get there for regular updates throughout the day.
