There is something about new golf gear that never gets old. The sound of unboxing, the first range session, the quiet belief that this time it might just be the missing piece. For members of the Life At The Turn community, those moments are worth sharing about what golfers are buying.
That is what the What Have You Bought Lately? thread is all about. From full bag changes to small upgrades, it is a running conversation that celebrates every bit of excitement that comes with fresh gear.
JP sets the stage for what golfers are buying!

Community member JP_Pivot opened the discussion simply:
“Let’s see what you bought!”
He followed it up with his own setup, one that reads like the collection of a golfer who knows exactly what he likes:
“TM Qi35 Core 10.5 – TPT 17hi Nitro
Callaway Ti 3W – TPT 17hi
Titleist TSR2 5W – 17hi TPT
Titleist TSR3 4Hy
PXG Gen 7 6-PW
Titleist T100 6-PW
Vokey SM9 50, 54, 58
LAB DF3 Purple Addition
Ghost Golf Bag.”
That single post set the tone. From there, the community came alive.
Finding the putter that clicks
Community member byrnzee jumped in a few weeks later with something every golfer can relate to: finding that new flat stick that just feels right.
“Recently purchased a L.A.B. Golf Oz.1i and I’ve been loving it! Graphite color, black Accra shaft and white pistol press grip. The feel off the face is incredible and the alignment has been perfect for helping me start putts on the target line. Still working on getting used to the speed control with it but I’m sure with more rounds under my belt it’ll be second nature in no time!”
Along with the post came photos that showed off the new putter in all its sleek detail. In true LATT fashion, he followed with his full setup:
“Bag: MV2 Golf Bag
Driver: Titleist TSR2 9.0°, Ventus Blue Velocore 6S
Driving Iron: U505 2i, Graphite Design Tour AD DI-85
Fairway (7w): TaylorMade Qi10 21°, Ventus Red TR Velocore 7S
Irons: P770 (4-6), P7CB (7-PW), Nippon Modus Tour 120S
Wedges: 50°, 54°, 58°
Putter: Oz.1i Graphite, Black Accra shaft
Ball: Maxfli Tour X.”
Sometimes a single club can refresh an entire bag.
Tools of the trade
Indy Bonzo took a slightly different route. After an unfortunate accident with his swing weight scale, he went back to the basics.
“After dropping my computerized SwingW scale earlier this summer (a very sad day), I waited for something more reasonably priced, and snagged this off the ‘Bay. Fewer electronics, too, so much more difficult for ‘Ole Johnny to break this one!”
He had builds coming up and needed reliable tools to keep everything in line. For many in the community, these behind-the-scenes purchases are just as exciting as the new drivers or irons. They are the backbone of every experiment.
“I have a few builds upcoming, and more goodies incoming, too, so this will be quite helpful.”
Travel, testing, and tinkering

JP reappeared a little later with a delivery that meant one thing: golf trips.
“My Ghost Golf AWOL travel case came in today. Time for some golf in other states….”
For golfers who live and breathe the game, travel gear can be just as important as clubs. It’s the promise of new courses, new experiences, and new stories to bring back to the community.
Community member KRMR followed up with a post that perfectly captured the never-ending cycle of testing.
“Well second shaft of the 3 I wanna put head to head is currently curing. Picked it up today. X-Wave 4x shaft. Gonna give it a run tomorrow and see if it will unseat the TPT before Thursday.”
That was just the start. Two weeks later, he added another chapter.
“Well time for box 1. Does the box give it away? Ended up moving the T250’s for these gorgeous P770 Battle Worn 4-PW irons. The 6&8 are still shrink wrapped which allowed me that little pleasure and the rest don’t even look hit. Super excited to get these on the Eye Mini and course.”
Each post brings a glimpse into the world of passionate golfers who love the process as much as the product.
When customer service wins the day
In early October, KRMR shared another story that many golfers can appreciate. A simple issue turned into an unforgettable experience.
“As I mentioned I sent my cobra head in due to a piece coming off the bottom. I shipped it Friday and they got it Monday. Got an email from them saying they put in the order for a new replacement head. Wow!”
Then came the follow-up:
“I emailed the guy back asking about the weights as I had added weight. He asked what I had in the head and I told him what weight and where. He responded almost immediately saying he had altered the order to have the same weights. Unbelievable!!! They certainly have a fan for life and I’m gonna do my best to have a cobra club in the bag from now on. Just crazy customer service.”
Sometimes the best part of a new purchase is discovering that a brand truly stands behind its product.
Bags, wedges, and a touch of personality

Byrnzee made another appearance with a practical find.
“Decided to pull the trigger on a Jones carry bag that I found on Facebook Marketplace. I’ve been wanting a Sunday bag that takes up less space for traveling and dry carry rounds and was able to snag this for a great deal. Was never used on course and looks brand new. I’ve always been a big fan of Jones bags and I’m happy to now own one. Excited to put it into action!”
frazzman80 refreshed his short game setup after realizing just how much wear his previous wedges had seen.
“Absolutely loved my Edison 2.0 wedges but they were almost 30 months old and I’d used them extensively… Can’t wait to play these new ones. Went 51/57 (had been 53/57, but with a 46 degree PW this should close the gap I had around 100-120 yards).”
And finally, Northern Monkey showed that gear can also be about personality.
“Ordered this some time ago and it finally arrived today. My custom designed putter cover. It’s stitched rather than printed and is great quality. Really plush interior and I think it was a reasonable price. £68 or $90 for a unique hand made custom cover.”
It might not change his score, but it adds a touch of individuality that makes the game even more enjoyable.
